Founded in 2002 by Chuck Patton, Bird Rock started at the La Jolla Farmers Market before opening their first shop in the Bird Rock neighborhood in 2006. Won Roast Magazine's Micro-Roaster of the Year in 2012 and multiple Good Food Awards. Strong direct trade program with long-term farmer relationships. Now part of PT's Coffee (acquired 2017), with a large production facility on Morena Blvd and 11 locations across San Diego County.
